ChelseaInPower, LLC
Holistic Body Positive Movement, Wellness, and Mindset Coach for Kids Ages 9-19
With 16+ years of experience coaching kids of all ages, and a lifetime love of all things movement, bodies, sports, physiology, psychology, spirituality, and self-expression—I am incredibly passionate and involved with the work that I do.
Many young people avoid things like exercise, mindfulness practices, and healthy decision-making because of shame about not being good enough to grow, fear of being isolated from their friends groups, or disempowerment around forming their own identity. I believe movement, embodiment, and health are the pathway to move from feeling unsafe in your body to safe--disempowered to empowered--stress to peace--avoidant to intrinsically motivated.
The goal of ChelseaInPower, LLC is to teach kids to love their bodies, move their bodies, and own their bodies BEFORE diet culture gets to them!
My program uses movement as the entry point for personal development. Through our work together, kids are using exercise to learn about themselves. By cultivating an empowered relationship with their own bodies, we pave the way for them to become empowered adults who are able to take on life’s challenges.
I want them to grow into empowered adults who feel inspired to solve important problems in the world, instead of obsessing over their body fat percentage. I want them to utilize the tools we learn about motivation to learn why they are avoiding doing homework, just like they were avoiding a workout. The ChelseaInPower Program empowers kids to love who they are and who they are growing into.
I am passionate about this because after years of eating disorders and over exercising, I finally found my way into loving movement, and I believe it’s everyone’s right to move.
As a Coach, I share exercises that help them learn how to listen to their bodies. I help them learn how their bodies have opinions and desires. Ever had that urge to run away, scream, dance, or hug someone? That's your body talking to you!
Bodies usually want to move when fear and expectations get out of the way, I help kids discover how to listen inward. I practice body autonomy to introduce ideas of consent and how to communicate healthy boundaries.
Movement is always the base of what we will do in sessions, but every child has very different needs. Sometimes the session is a tearful walk, sometimes that’s working on complex gymnastics skills, or a cathartic hard workout, and sometimes that’s joke-telling during an easy yoga session.
I use play, breath, curiosity, and mindfulness to inspire young people not to perform tasks against their will, but to find their own version of health that they love and want to participate in for their entire lives.
The kids I coach tend to find relief working with me, because they know that I will never force them to do anything. Lots of PE programs use a shame based model to motivate kids to be active. Instead, we work together to help them organize desire vs. fears, and figure out what choices would be most aligned with their goals.

Contact
Interested families can contact me for a free video chat or phone consultation.
The sessions with the children can be done with video chat, or phone calls.
I also have a limited amount of in-person training spaces available where we could meet at a park, public area, your home, or at a gym, gymnastics, or yoga facility I have partnered with.
I am currently partnered with facilities in San Francisco, Corte Madera in Marin, and Richmond in The East Bay.
From my years of experience, it typically takes the first 3-4 sessions to establish rapport with your child, so I recommend a minimum of 10 session package to get to know each other.
After a few sessions, some families prefer to meet 2-3x week instead of 1x a week.
As the needs of your child evolve, I adjust their growth plan accordingly.
Enrollment is continuous - kids can stay 10 weeks or even 10 years. Cancel anytime with 30 day notice.
Sessions are $120 each, billed on the 1st of each month.
